The journal Družboslovne razprave invites contributions for the special issue on Metaphor(s).
Metaphors are fundamental components for expressing and comprehending the events and things around us. Metaphors as an immanent part of our language, thought and practices are not only making sense of the world and reality but are an integral “element” for expressing/communicating our ideas and concepts. Metaphor(s), understood as a significant element to our knowledge, have a power to co-constitute, transform and re-define socio-political realty.
This special issue’s purpose is to explore and examine different aspects and understandings of metaphor within Social Sciences and Humanities.
The special issue aims at an Multidisciplinary, Interdisciplinary and methodologically innovative approach towards metaphors studies.
Participants are invited to send an abstract of 150-250 words to the guest editor – Petra Podobnikar (petra.podobnikar(at)fdv.uni-lj.si by the 5th of June 2015. The dead line for manuscript submission is September 1st 2015. Abstracts and manuscripts should be in English and authors should follow the instructions listed on www.druzboslovne-razprave.org. The publication date is scheduled for December 2015.
